On the 45th anniversary of its release join critic Charles Mudede & Dr. Daudi Abe for the live annotated analysis of the Sugarhill Gang's seminal single "Rapper's Delight" and the cultural tsunami it triggered. The project first appeared in The Stranger's Art and Performance Fall 2024. The live version will include a DJ Vitamin D and samples of the beats mentioned in the article and also during the performance. The event will close with a DJ session capturing sounds that launched one of the most important cultural movements of our times.
